Position Summary: SD Industries, LLC manufactures steel and stainless-steel product lines to meet the needs of our customers by using advanced technology and modern machinery.  The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, energetic, and dependable team player.

Position Reports to: Welding Lead

General Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
  • MIG welding.
  • TIG welding a plus.
  • Work in other areas of fabrication and machine shop.
  • Must be well organized, self-motivated, and possess good communication skills.

 Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 12+ months related experience and/or training (technical school) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Vocational technical school preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
  • Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking on concrete floors in a manufacturing environment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50-pounds.
  • Good hand-eye coordination.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.

Machine Operator: Full-time

Shift: Monday – Thursday  6:30 am – 5:00 pm (Friday as needed)

Position Summary: SD Industries, LLC manufactures steel products to meet the needs of our customers by using advanced technology and modern machinery.  The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, dependable team player who is interested in efficiently operating various pieces of production equipment in the manufacturing Industry.

In the last fifteen years, SD Industries has expanded into over 95,000 Sq. Ft. of manufacturing space with a new fiber optic laser, robotic welding equipment, rod bending and press brakes and other fabrication equipment.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operates production machines and equipment within acceptable practice.
  • Meet established production standards.
  • Make machine set-ups as requested.
  • Measures and aligns materials to be used.
  • Inspects products, evaluating finished pieces for compliance with quality standards.
  • Follow ALL Safety Requirements.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and timely.
  • Performs cleaning duties as required in accordance with company standards.
  • Supports other areas of production and secondary operation functions as needed.
  • Consistently strives to improve personal and departmental performance.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications:

  • Must be 18 years of age.
  • Must be able to read and write legibly.
  • Be able to accurately use measuring equipment such as a tape measure and caliper.
  • Able to meet production standards and follow instructions.
  • Have the ability to effectively communicate with fellow co-workers and the management team.

Physical Requirements:

Sales Professional: Full-time

Position Summary: SD Industries, LLC (SDI) is an industry leading manufacturer of stainless-steel products for the swine industry.  The successful candidate will be responsible for inside/outside sales to SDI customers and be driven by developing and maintaining long-term relationships with our customers.

Reporting Relationship: Sales Manager

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Offer and promote SDI products to our customers and dealers.
  • Provide customers with quotes of SDI products and services.
  • Visit customers and dealers to develop relationships and promote current and new SDI products.
  • Attend trade shows and industry events to promote SDI products.
  • Assist customer by communicating production timelines and tracking customer needs from initial call to delivery.
  • Work with Production and Engineering team to ensure accurate and timely delivery to customers.

 

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of sales related experience. Swine or Agricultural industry experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently or as an active member of a team.
  • Strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong Team Building skills.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office products.
  • Valid Driver’s license.

Hours of Work:

Monday through Friday 7:45a.m. – 5:00 p.m., some travel is required and an occasional Saturday or Sunday.
