Job Title: IT Technician

Job Class: Non-Exempt

Job Description:
Our growing business currently has an opportunity for a professional and experienced individual to fill the role of IT Technician.  In this position, the successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of all computer workstations and associated software within the office building.  The IT Technician will also be the main point of contact for employees who are experiencing computer issues.  This is an excellent opportunity for the right individual to join an established organization that has experienced significant growth.

Essential Duties:

Assist personnel with installation, configuration of ongoing usability of system hardware and software.
Offer daily operations and systems support to personnel
Works under the supervision of VP of IT and Engineering, CEO (indirectly) and President (indirectly).
Using excellent customer service skills establishes and maintains effective working relationships with other employees, management team, software companies and computer hardware companies.
Verify functionality of hardware and software components.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues in person, remotely and via phone.
Assist employees with computer problems and answers questions
Conduct backups as required by the VP of IT and Engineering.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to sit and talk or hear.  The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger motions, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 75 pounds.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

Work is performed inside/outside in all types of weather conditions. 

 Technical Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.
Experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
Experience on current network operating systems.
Ability to meet deadlines and manage stress effectively in high-pressure situations.
Understanding of IT principles and ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to a varied audience.
Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality required.
