Shift: Monday – Thursday 6:30 am – 5:00 pm, Fridays as needed

Position Summary:

Individual will make deliveries using SD Industries one-ton truck and 42-foot flatbed trailer.  Drivers are home every night.  Most deliveries are less than 300 miles from SD Industries plant.

Position Reports to: Shipping Lead

General Responsibilities:

  • Safely deliver product to customers as needed.
  • Pick and stage parts for customer orders.
  • Use forklift, pallet jack, pallet wrappers, and other material handling equipment.
  • Inspect trucks to ensure working conditions of brakes, lights, wipers, windshield, and other safety equipment in the truck.‪
  • Maintain record of goods and freight loaded and unloaded.‪

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist Shipping Department lead preparing shipments and tracking inventory.
  • Performs cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
  • Additional duties may be assigned.
  • Overtime may be required.

Qualifications:

  • Class A CDL required.
  • Commercial driving experience. (1 year)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and walking on concrete floors in a manufacturing environment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50-pounds
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Use of forklift, pallet jack, pallet wrappers, and other material handling equipment
  • Ability to work overtime as needed

The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, energetic, and dependable team player. In the last nine years, SD Industries has expanded into over 95,000 Sq. Ft. of manufacturing space with a new fiber optic laser, robotic welding, rod bending, and steel press equipment, and over 60 trained employees.

Position Reports to: Welding Lead

General Responsibilities:

  • Must be able to read and understand blueprints.
  • Must be able to read and understand weld symbols on blue print.
  • MIG welding.
  • TIG welding a plus.
  • Work in other areas of fabrication and machine shop.
  • Must be well organized, self-motivated, and possess good communication skills.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
  • Consistently strives to improve personal and departmental performance.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Welding Lead.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 12+ months related experience and/or training (technical school) or equivalent combination of education and experience. Vocational technical school preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual.
  • Basic math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in all units of measure including whole numbers, fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to read a tape measure.
  • Ability to use tools in a safe and proper manner.

Position Reports to: Production Manager

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Material handling of all parts within your possession.
  • Checks products against standards for conformance to specifications.
  • Follows specifications in job orders, verbal instructions, and blueprints.
  • Observes machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
  • Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling machines, dies, or workpieces.
  • Operates brake presses and other equipment as assigned.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and files job work reports.
  • Performs cleaning and maintenance duties as required.
  • Supports other areas of production and secondary operation functions as needed.
  • Consistently strives to improve personal and departmental performance.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Production Manager.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required; additional related education is a plus but not a requirement.
  • 1-3 years of experience operating basic machines.
  • Strong problem solving and mathematical skills.
  • Ability to accurately use measuring equipment such as a tape measure, caliper, and protractor.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with fellow co-workers and the management team.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, team focused environment.
